From May 12–16, Protarget AG was part of the Green Industry business delegation to Greece, organised by the German-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).

At the expert conference in Thessaloniki on May 13 on ‘Sustainable Solutions for Renewable Energy and Heat for Green Industry’ Protarget commercial director Martin Scheuerer spoke presented Protarget’s solution for sustainable and cost-effective process heat on demand through solar thermal energy contracting. Among the interested listeners were, among others, the German consul, members of the Greek Ministry of Interior, the presidents of the German-Greek Chambers of Commerce and around 100 representatives of Greek companies, engineering firms and renewable energy consultants.

A key highlight was the presentation of the SUNBREWED project: An industrial scale solar process heat plant for Athenian Brewery (HEINEKEN) in Patras, owned and operated by ELPEDISON (HELLENiQ Group). This benchmark project for renewable industrial heat is a blueprint for a clean, energy transformation in the industry.
