News from Solar Thermal Plant in Cyprus

We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our facility in Fes, Morocco, marking a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable energy solutions.

Our PT950 parabolic trough technology has been successfully installed in the campus of the Université EuroMed de Fès, as part of a system that will use energy from the sun to generate electricity and produce clean drinking water.

The concept demonstrator is comprised of a solar field that uses one row of parabolic trough modules to capture the abundant solar radiation, an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) turbine, that generates electricity and an innovative thermal desalination system.

The high level of solar radiation found not only at this specific site, but also throughout much of Morocco, means that the technology used in the pilot plant is extremely relevant as a way of providing cost effective, reliable and sustainable energy for the country in

Last week, our team travelled to Cyprus to carry out the annual service of our Solar Steam & Hot Water Boiler System (PTC)(CPC). In addition to the planned routine maintenance activities, our engineers checked that the system was continuing to perform as specified, verified that all safety systems were operating correctly and installed an additional uninterruptible power supply and GSM link, to allow communication with the system in the event of a power cut at the customer’s plant.

 Key maintenance tasks included:

  •  Cleaning the mirrors, system, and control cabinet.
  • Checking fluid levels and system pressures.
  • Checking the correct operation of manual and automatic valves.
  • Installation of UPS and GSM communication system

We’re proud of our team’s dedication to maintaining and improving our technology for optimal performance and reliability.
