About the job

Following the acquisition of several international projects, we are looking for a Team leader who will be responsible for the team of Technicians and Mechanics that construct our projects around the world.

Your tasks

  • Leading the team of technicians and mechanics during the project construction phase
  • Responsible for on-site Health and Safety
  • Responsible for ensuring that the team complies with the customer’s site regulations
  • Work planning and preparation, allocation of work depending on skills and abilities
  • Developing skills of the team members and ensuring new team members have correct training
  • Ensure that work instructions are correctly followed, and quality documentation is completed
  • Accurately reporting any issues that occur during the build and implement approved changes
  • Communication with the relevant engineers to solve problems on site
  • Preparation and planning for the construction phase, including tools and equipment availability
  • Maintaining the agreed time plan, even under difficult circumstances
  • Operation, maintenance and problem diagnostics of solar power plants (after suitable training)

Your profile

  • Minimum of three years’ experience of leading teams in an on-site engineering environment
  • Experience in sectors like: Industrial equipment supply, mining, plant construction, marine
  • Ability to solve the technical, logistical and resource problems that could affect the project
  • Relevant formal technical training such as – Apprenticeship, Technician, Master mechanic
  • Must be able to work from technical documentation: Drawings, job cards, work instructions, etc.
  • Must be prepared to work in remote locations under difficult physical conditions
  • Fluent in English, Spanish /German language knowledge a benefit
